Not even 24 hrs later over 10,000 people have signed the petition

We have not had any response from CrossFit Inc but I am sure they have seen it. In under 24 hours, over 10,000 people worldwide have signed the petition. The many dissenting opinions are healthy to hear. But gun laws, gun ownership etc is a contentious topic. Not all countries share the American love of firearms. It is likely that the female winner will not come from the US. Why force them into a position to make a political statement? Last years runner up would put her Olympic spot in jeopardy by engaging in promotion of firearms. That is how strongly the rest of the world thinks about this topic. This issue brands all of the global CrossFit community. I wont win a gun, but one of my idols will. And a community I love will generally say that its ok to reward athletic prowess with firearms. Its just not ok as a prize. Stay tuned.
