We have an important update to share.
Today, SB 289 (Wynter’s Law) was heard in the Senate Veterans, Military Affairs, and Public Protection Committee and passed unanimously.
This is a significant step forward in strengthening Kentucky’s alert system so law enforcement have another responsible tool when a child may be endangered.
Thank you to Senator Brandon Storm for sponsoring this legislation and to the committee members for taking time to review and advance the bill.
We are also grateful to Rockcastle County Attorney Jeremy Rowe and Detective Sam Brock for speaking in support of this effort.
The bill now moves to the full Kentucky Senate for consideration.
Thank you to everyone who has signed and shared the petition. Your support has helped bring attention to the importance of strengthening protections for Kentucky’s children.
Please continue sharing the petition as the bill moves forward.
