Create Revenue Sharing for ODSP/CPP-D Recipients

Create Revenue Sharing for ODSP/CPP-D Recipients
The Issue
Living on CPP-Disability has been a great challenge. With limited income sources, I find myself struggling to make ends meet every month. Like many others in my situation, accessing additional forms of revenue is not an option due to physical and societal hurdles. Yet, as social media evolves, it presents an opportunity that could change our lives - a multi-generational avenue to earn more and support individuals on ODSP/CPP-D.
In today's digital age, platforms such as YouTube, Twitter, and others have expanded their monetization opportunities, allowing countless creators and individuals to earn revenue. However, these opportunities often bypass those who are on disability programs like ODSP/CPP-D. This is a situation that needs to change for the betterment of many lives.
We propose a solution where, upon reaching monetization requirements on platforms, a special Revenue Pool SIN number is provided. This SIN number would enable the collection of revenue from these platforms by city or provincial authorities. Subsequently, this revenue would be equitably distributed to everyone in the disability program, offering additional financial support and financial empowerment.
According to STATISTICS, there are over ### people currently relying on CPP-Disability and only living on the basic support it provides. The additional revenue distribution could considerably enhance their quality of life, enabling them to meet essential needs and lowering stress levels associated with financial instability. By implementing this solution, we ensure that every creator, regardless of their health status, can benefit from the digital economy.
Sign this petition to demand action from government bodies to support ODSP/CPP-D recipients by adopting a revenue-sharing model. Help us create a fairer, more inclusive system that considers the needs of vulnerable citizens and embraces the potential for digital platforms to change lives.
