On 25th July we had the Pre Inquest Review Hearing (PIRH) into the death of Baby Balram, My Son. The PIRH was before HM Senior Coroner at Southwark coroners court, London. The coroner says, following the PIRH in his SHORT DIRECTIONS :

The agenda set out the key issues from the court’s perspective which, at this stage, were set out reasonably wide.
Mr Patel submitted that the correct way of understanding the issues was to understand the truth – only then could anyone understand what happened and what the issues were. He did not agree with the issues as set out by the court. From his perspective (and in summary) it was putting the cart before the horse.
On Sunday 28th July I was invited to partake in a live TV interview on GB News hosted by the lovely Nana Akua. The interview lasted over 15 minutes and can be found on the link https://www.gbnews.com/shows/nana-akua/2024-07-28 In the interview I said : "I presented the coroner over 40 false statements in the statement of truth issued by the consultant to the coroner as evidence into the care and treatment provided to Balram"
On the steps of the Coroners court I said :
As a husband I need to provide Justice to Balram’s mum, my wife, Louise for the death of her son who she dedicated over 30 year of her life to.
As a father I need to provide justice to Balram's sister, Umika for the death of her brother who she loved so so much.
To Balram’s remaining family and friends who are also mortified by the loss of this incredible divine soul all that is left that I can do is bring Justice to Balram.
I FAILED IN KEEPING MY BABY ALIVE, I BEG THE SYSTEM WILL NOT FAIL ME AGAIN.
I PLEADED the system allow me in getting justice for my Baby Balram and start by giving us the truth.
I believe the foundation of the coronial process is underpinned by the truth. Only then can we find out what if anything went wrong and what lessons can be learnt and what processes can be implemented for benefit for all mankind.
This process allowed the birth of Martha’s Rule, The rule Martha’s parents fought for so strongly and today we are all benefitting from. The law that states a second medical opinion is our right.
Patients Lives Matter, the foundation formed in honour of Balram advocated for and supported Martha’s Rule.
I am now asking for a Balram Law : A LAW THAT DEMANDS ALL MEDICAL PERSONEL BE IT DOCTORS, NURSES, SURGEONS, ADMIN STAFF ETC ARE INDEPENDANTLY REGULATED.
This will first Demand we start with the truth.
WE NEED TO HELP OUR NHS GET BACK ON THE RIGHT PATH.
I have on many occasions said I love our NHS, My baby Balram was here 30 years because of them and he is sadly no longer with us because of them.
Please help me and so so so many others by signing our petition, getting your family members, friends, neighbours, work colleagues, milk man, milk woman, etc etc to sign it so we can start the process of putting our NHS back on track.
