ICYMI - Survey now live!

Good morning and I am absolutely blown away at the response to our survey - I was hoping for about 200 respondents, but we look to be achieving that in our first 24 hours! It will be open until noon on Monday, March 13th.

THANK YOU to everyone who has completed and shared this. It’s gathering a much better picture of the impact of the pandemic and Long Covid on Keyworkers. Our feeling is that a more in-depth study needs to be done, but that’s not going to be for us. What this data is already showing is that the impact is high and needs to be looked into more deeply.

We are busy here at virtual Petition HQ - finalising plans for the pre-walk to Downing St meet up, travel plans, as well as trying to reach journalists, politicians, draft briefings. We know it’s a big ask, but we may need a bit more of your help in the coming days. 

Far and away the big thing is that March 15th, when we hand the petition in, isn’t only International Long Covid Awareness Day, it’s also Budget Day. We are busy drafting an email you can send to your MP with questions in it about the campaign, to be used for Health Minister or PMQs. It’s not quite ready. We will also draft another letter you can send to local and national newspapers, to try and let them know what’s happening. 

So it’s lots of work ahead, so please do keep letting everyone know about the petition and survey. There honestly aren’t words to express how thankful and grateful we are for all of your support.
