Growing up in Cleary Estate, we've witnessed the wonderful community spirit that binds us all together, especially on Koen Street. Yet, there's something missing that could truly enhance our neighborhood and make it even more family-friendly: a community park.

Right now, the children of Koen Street do not have a dedicated safe play area. Parents are concerned about their kids playing on the streets, and families have to travel long distances for a simple day out in the fresh air. A park would not only provide a safe haven for our children to play and develop friendships but would also serve as a gathering space for neighbors to connect, engage, and build a stronger community bond.

Imagine a park equipped with playgrounds, benches, greenery, and a few sports facilities. Such amenities would vastly improve our quality of life, fostering better mental and physical health for everyone from toddlers to seniors. Moreover, urban parks have been shown to increase property values, improve local air quality, and reduce stress among residents, according to studies by the American Planning Association and the Trust for Public Land.

We propose that the Municipality allocate an unused plot of land in the Koen Street area for the creation of this park. This is a practical, achievable goal that would have long-lasting benefits for our community. Funding could be sought through a combination of municipal budgets, public-private partnerships, and community fundraisers.

There's no doubt that implementing this project would reflect positively on our local government, showcasing their investment in the well-being of residents and the future generations of Cleary Estate.

We urge the Municipality to listen to the voices of the community members they serve. This is our chance to make a lasting difference in our neighborhood.
