Rock is one of the most popular musical forms in the world and has been for generations, however, growing up in Kent and being a fan is difficult. We have no rock staions our nearest gigs are in London (with the exception of a few) and there are only 2 music tv channels which are unavailable to many for free.

Radio allows people to listen to current, and past music as well as a way to hear of new artists, new songs and general news and all for free. The BBC is our nations primary radio broadcaster and it is completely ignoring this market, yes we get alternative music with Zane Lowe in the evening, but what about drive time and breakfast shows for people who want to listen to rock and metal?

We feel that the BBC should broadcast rock and metal on a channel all of its own for everyone to enjoy.
