Dear reader,

As another day passes in the United Kingdom, 407 new cases of COVID-19 have been identified, bringing the total number to a concerning 1,950 confirmed infections. Tragically, alongside these figures, 16 more people have died as a result of contracting the virus and we think of the families who have lost loved ones during this awful time.

The situation worsens every day, incrementally adding to the weight of stress and uncertainty that sits upon student shoulders. As many of you have expressed in your helpful comments, this could potentially lead to a mental health catastrophe alongside an unprecedented disruption to the start of 250,000 young adult’s lives.
