Thank you for your interest in preserving Sherman Oaks. We all understand the need to provide assistance to the homeless, but the current plan IS NOT the answer!

Not the right locations - Not the right plan. Currently, our Neighborhood Council, Councilman Ryu, and Mayor Garcetti, seem to have lost touch with the fact that they're supposed to represent us - ALL OF US!

We're at the meetings, we've signed the petitions, we've emailed, called, talked, and yelled - But they still don't hear us. Sherman Oaks needs your support. We need to be heard, and we can't do that without your help.

TONIGHT, Monday, Nov. 5th at 6:30pm - The Sherman Oaks Neighborhood Council will hold their Board Meeting at the Sherman Oaks Elementary School - in the auditorium - 14780 Dickens, St. Sherman Oaks. On the agenda for this meeting is the appointment of a strong and passionate homeless advocate, Sarah Olds. She currently leases an apartment in Sherman Oaks, and owns a small business here.

During one recent meeting she aggressively tried to shut off discussions between board members and the residents that were trying to obtain information and were seeking alternative solutions to the current locations, and programs for the homeless project housing.

The Sherman Oaks Neighborhood Council has every intention of confirming Sarah Olds as a member of the board during the meeting this Monday. She will hold that position for the next several years! - We NEED you there to demand that the council comply with the bylaws and appoint residents and business owners that hold diverse views, so that all the stakeholders of Sherman Oaks can be represented. The appointment of Sarah Olds only furthers their agenda, their vision - NOT OURS!

We need representation on the board - But the board isn't planning on letting that happen too easily. If you, or someone you know would like to participate in our community on a greater level, please contact Ron Ziff by emailing him through the Sherman Oaks Neighborhood Council website: Shermanoaksnc.org and let him know that you would like to be considered for the vacant seat in area 5. Applicants must reside in Sherman Oaks, area 5 - which is defined as: North of Ventura, West of Fulton, South of Riverside, and East of Hazeltine. We need to find an alternative candidate to fill this position. We need to pack the meeting this Monday and once again strongly voice our opposition to the confirmation of Sarah Olds to the board.

Don't have the time to be on the board? No Problem! You can still participate in the process that ensures the residents of Sherman Oaks quality of life, supports local business owners, and provides assistance to those in need, simply by turning up on Monday evening at 6:30pm.

We can't do this without everyone's participation. We need you there.

Please make attending the meeting a priority -
TONIGHT, November 5th at 6:30pm at The Sherman Oaks Elementary School Auditorium - 14780 Dickens Street. Sherman Oaks.

Let's Make A Difference!

See you there!
