CC's Daiquiris is being driven out of business by the City of Montgomery's decision to suspend the entertainment district ordinance.  Customers who are used to walking around downtown Montgomery with their drinks can no longer do so.  Citizens of Montgomery and visitors alike are not permitted to carry their drinks outdoors under any circumstances.  There were meetings held at City Hall before this suspension was enacted, but CC's Daiquiris was not invited nor was there any public comment.  The business was started with the assurance that carrying drinks downtown would be permitted, but suddenly the rules have changed.  The loss of a minority, women-owned business with 20 employees that was run with honesty, integrity and care for its community is a negative mark on this community.
