In a recent decision by Commissioner R Scott,  the Council's proposed view shaft from Stockade Hill viewed  from the Toposcope was confirmed. This meant that Howick Ratepayers and Residents Association call for an extended view shaft was not accepted. However we have won limited protection for the most significant views

Tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. we have a public meeting to examine the decision and look at possible options to continue to protect the views that we feel are so precious. We are particularly concerned at the lack of coverage for Crawford Reserve. and the approach to Howick
