Stop speeding in Bridgeman Downs

Most of us have moved to Bridgeman Downs for the serenity and the wildlife so close to the city. We have wallabies, platypus, echidnas and koalas to name a few.

But since the development of more housing, more people are moving into the Bridgeman Downs area, and as a result more wildlife are being displaced and killed on our roads. There has been an increase in the number of wildlife killed, and as residents who care for our wildlife, we want to protect them.

As locals, we want speed controls put on place in areas where there is an abundance of wildlife, such as Wendon Way Bridgeman Downs, as a means to slow the traffic down. Wendon Way had parks on both sides of the road, and it's also used every single day by families with young children.

With this petition, we would like to see traffic controls put in place to help save our wildlife. There are speed signs of 40 at the beginning of the estate, however these are ineffective and have proven time and time again that they do not work. It's time to protect our wildlife who are also our neighbours
