Wild Moors
Mar 27, 2015
Last week monitors attached to Ban Bloodsports on Ilkley Moor (BBIM) photographed equipment used for trapping mammals, such as stoats and weasels, lodged in a grouse butt on the moor.
We immediately sprung into action, bringing the matter to the attention of Bradford Council's Countryside & Rights of Way Service and pointing out the February decision which prohibited all use of traps on Ilkley Moor. Our supporters too sent emails.
BBIM today received confirmation from Bradford Council gamekeepers had been instructed to remove all trapping equipment from Ilkley Moor.
