Thank you for your support for the promised nature reserve on Beddington Farmlands. This has more than 6,500 signatures and has been sent to Sutton Council.
Petition being presented - The petition will be presented to Sutton Council's Housing, Economy and Business Committee on 8th October. Wandle Valley Forum will be speaking and the meeting is open to the public if you would like to show your support (7.30pm, Civic Offices, St Nicholas Way, Sutton, SM1 1EA). The Committee papers are here https://moderngov.sutton.gov.uk/ieListDocuments.aspx?CId=450&MId=5225&Ver=4
Progress made - Your support has already helped. Three new wildlife hides have arrived on the permissive path between Beddington Park and Mitcham Common. Viridor has also produced a "roadmap" for what happens next https://www.viridor.co.uk/who-we-are/latest-news/2019-news/giving-beddington-landfill-new-life-with-roadmap-to-restoration/ We need Sutton Council to ensure things don't slip.
Stay in touch - if you would like to stay in touch with Wandle Valley Forum on this and other issues then please drop your email into the home page of our website http://www.wandlevalleyforum.org.uk
