Stop the council in Cheltenham from imposing ludicrous rules on taxi drivers

Cheltenham Borough Council are imposing strict new rules and regulations on the taxi drivers in Cheltenham that will affect all the taxi users in the town.
Under their new policy all taxis within the town will have to be wheelchair accessible by 2021. This will mean that there will be potentially over 250 of these vehicles in the town so there will be no more freedom of choice for the public, no more Mercedes , no more BMW , no 4x4 to get you home in the bad weather.
This new ruling also discriminates against the elderly and mobility impaired that cannot access these vehicles.
under their policy drivers hours will also be restricted meaning that during peak times like race meetings the drivers will no longer be able to meet the needs of the public.
The council are acting with both discrimination to the public and vindictively towards the taxi drivers.
By signing this petition you are stating that you disagree with this policy and wish the Councillors to listen to public opinion and common sense.
