Following the release of the Petition, Sparkle Sheffield has been innundated with calls from individual families and support groups in Barnsley, Rotherham and Doncaster, identifying that they too are experiencing comparable, abuses in their local areas, as SEND delivery, presents in these areas to being modelled on the Sheffield 'model' of operations, described in our petition outline and associated documents. Having now engaged in a flurry of follow on meetings and engagements across South Yorkshire, parents/carers, families, advocates and groups have formally come together, as a cooperative consortium under articles and rules under the title 'Sparkle South Yorkshire ' , with parents/carers and families and their support groups working to empower each other, share information and expertise, while engaging in collective advocacy support and challenges and calls for redress of the replicated abuses against Disabled children and their families in Barnsley, Rotherham and Doncaster as well as in Sheffield, due to LA, failings, to properly adhereto the SEND Code of practice and related legislation,. Collective challenges to stop cuts and other dimunitions in SEND services and resources, is also a key focus, as is calls for proper, transparent participation. Sparkle South Yorkshire, herefore now aligns with Sparkle Sheffield to assert that THE ABUSE MUST STOP ! We have 1000+ signatures! Well done and Thank you to all who have signed. KEEP GOING!
