As you all know the dream of a plaque to celebrate the life of Cozy Powell will become a reality in just a couple of weeks and we hope as many of you as possible will be there on 7th January to celebrate with us as Brian May officially unveils the plaque. Many former band members will attend from throughout his career, from the 60’s until the time of his untimely death, along with close friends of his. One person who falls into both of those categories is Pete Ball who was a friend of Cozy’s from the 60’s onward and who played with him in the bands Sorcerors and Young Blood. Pete would dearly like to attend to honour Cozy, however Pete IS LIVING IN South Africa AND HIS HEALTH IS DECLINING BADLY, so this could be his last chance to take part in an event such as this and to share his memories of Cozy and their time together. We would really like Pete to be able to attend but it's too late to try and organise a crowdfunding campaign with just a couple of weeks to go, so we are asking for your help directly! If you cannot personally come to the unveiling, would you help Pete Ball attend on your behalf with a small donation of £3 or £5 via PayPal (or any amount you can spare)? In return he will represent you on the day and will tell you all about what happened at both the public unveiling and VIP reception (which is invitation only). He will also share with you some of his memories of the early days with Cozy via your PayPal e-mail address. Although we are determined to make this happen, there is always the faint possibility we may not achieve our aim, in which case we will donate the money toward Pete’s medical expenses and have a random draw for one donor to join the VIP reception in Cirencester on the 7th January OR, if you are unable to attend, we will try and get an item autographed by as many famous musicians as possible!
