DRAYTON COURT JAZZ FESTIVAL 18 TO 20 AUGUST 2017 Following the great success of last year’s inaugural Jazz Festival at the Drayton Court in Ealing, the pub has substantially increased its support to extend the event to a three day Jazz Festival this year commencing on Friday 18 August. The Festival will be hosted and organised by Dick Esmond who founded and was involved in the original Ealing Jazz Festival for 30 years until the Council controversially changed the direction and length of the famous Festival last year with the stated intention of saving money. The extended Drayton Court Festival features elements that were key to the former popularity and success of the original Ealing festival in that (1) the bands have local connections although their reputations in many cases are national and international, and (2) admission will be once more FREE. In addition, after just one year, the new Drayton Court Event is already longer than the Council’s event which demonstrates how successful the original format had been. The Drayton Court Festival will again be held in the wonderful, large landscaped garden at the rear of the pub and there will be a great selection of real ales as last year to accompany the “real” jazz. Book these dates in your diary before you fix your summer holidays and re-live the experience that so many of you have enjoyed for years.
