The Issue
Single-use plastics are plastics that are used only once and then are thrown away. Plastic waste polluting our oceans and waterways is one of the biggest problems facing our generation. By 2050 there will be more plastic in our oceans than fish.
Newpark is taking action by becoming the first Plastic-Free School in Ireland. We want to embed this social and cultural change in our community and with our efforts make our environment better.
