The Council in Powell River, BC is enacting a bylaw/change by not informing the public fully of it's impact to the lives of hundreds without voice or vote.

The Bylaw Officer has stated that work is being done towards changing and denying the feeding of birds - making it a VERY costly fine offence to feed ANY birds of ANY KIND with the exception of hummingbirds.  Powell River's "action by complaint only" will continue to pit neighbour vs neighbour, or anyone who places a complaint.   Financial and Fear based, it will affect those who begin their day with a cup of java or tea while enjoying their feathered friends, the birds at their feeding stations on their own property.  With our taxes high, do we need further control restrictions levied on us?

In a town with a high percentage of elderly, handicapped, home-bound, low income people - this form of peaceful, beautiful, interaction with nature is mostly all they have to enjoy on a daily basis.  A touch of life intermingling with their daily solitary routine.  Why would anybody deny this?
