First a big thank you to all who have signed and shared the petition. Within 48 hours we have over 350 signatures. Having read the comments left on the petition I have been touched by the emotion that this has created, particularly from long-time residents. I have emailed Councillor Loakes asking if it is true that a contractor has already been selected to deal with the trees. I find it particularly galling that the council cannot properly deal with a tree in my own street that is leaning at 60° because of a lack of money. They are just going to trim it and wait until it falls! Yet they feel free to vandalise our Forest.
