almost right before the 11th season of NCIS began filming, fans heard that NCIS cast member, Cote de Pablo (character NCIS Special Agent Ziva David) was the only one who had not yet signed for renewal if her contract. Then, we found out that Ms. de Pablo was not returning to NCIS. Many rumors abounded, at first saying that Cote declined her new contract because of a salary dispute; that she possibly wanted more money, or a salary comparable to cast member Michael Weatherly (character NCIS Special Agent Anthony "Tony" DiNozzo). Though no one has come out to definitively say whether this was true or not, after a time, and after many contradictory statements released, most fans have come to the consensus that this was probably not the reason for Cote's departure.

Next, rumors that Cote de Pablo was pregnant, and wanted to take maternity leave, and then possibly return in season 12, surfaced on the web. This rumor is completely unsubstantiated.

Another rumor surfaced that Cote was just burnt-out doing NCIS, and was just ready to leave, either to just spend more time with family, to start a family, or to pursue other endeavors. Though none of these rumors can be proven without statements from Cote herself, they are a possibility. If this was Cote's choice, then we should all respect it and move on. But until Ms. de Pablo makes a statement to such, we will keeping fighting for her return.

finally, fans heard that during contact negotiations, Cote was offered a 3-year contract, and that she asked for a 1-year contract. Allegedly, NCIS would not back down, and that a 3-year contract was their final offer - and that NCIS offered her a lot of money, which she declined unless she could get only that 1-year contract. Again, apparently NCIS offered her even more money, but she again declined unless the contract time was shortened. This is a plausible situation, and if it is the truth, then we are asking Cote to please reconsider, and to at least look into negotiating with NCIS for her return.

To Ms. Cote de Pablo herself: please let us fana know the truth surrounding your departure. Why did you leave? Obviously, Ziva fans will not stop fighting to get you back, unless you tell us the real reasons behind you leaving; if you decided to leave, and you really just don't want to return, please let us know, and we will #RespectCotesChoice .

To CBS: if Cote is willing to return, please reopen negotiations!!!
