Several years ago, here in Canada, an egregious error was made by Costco Wholesale. They discontinued the delicious, nay the scrumptious, Lemon Poppyseed Muffin. This has been a thorn in my side, the bane of my existence, since it was pulled from its rightful place on the store shelves.

It replaced these delectable creations with creations of inferior quality and taste. None of which have stayed put. Apple strudel, chocolate banana, etc. All are poor attempts to replace the muffin which is near and dear to our hearts. The Lemon Poppyseed. In the US they have Almond Poppyseed... Not the same!

I emailed Costco a year or so ago and they replied that it was pulled due to poor sales with no plans on bringing it back. Yet everyone I talk to says that it was easily one of their favourites. Give it a shot! A limited time release even!

We have but one humble request Costco. Bring back the Lemon Poppyseed Muffin!
