Thank you for all of your support so far. I can't begin to tell you how much it means to me. I am as determined as ever to make sure the simple/easy to make changes covered in my suggestions are implemented.

Here is an update of the progress so far:

  • I have written to the leading supermarkets CEO's and so far have received responses from two, but with no promise of clear action (polite PR type responses thanking me for reaching out). I have asked them to provide more details of when, who is involved in making decisions etc. When/if I get something concrete to share I will revert.
  • Tesco's have set up a facility to enable people to donate accumulated ClubCard points  to designated charities (two relate to food). Here is the link  https://secure.tesco.com/clubcard/donate-to-charity
  • I have spoken to my local MP Duncan Baker who is keen to support this initiative. We have agreed to maintain a dialogue.
  • I have spoken to Change.Org who are also going to help amplify the campaign further.

Next Steps

  • I am going to continue to push Supermarkets.
  • If you haven't aleady, could you please share details of this campaign with your friends, family and colleagues. I've never rasied a petition before,  but I'm sure the more sign-ups we have, the more the supermarkets will take notice. Here is the link https://chng.it/96dhV5z7FX
  • Once we have more supporters, I will approach the national media outlets to ask for thier help and support.

Please let me end where I started - Thanks for all your help so far. With very best wishes Paul
