The Coroner's Court has been received our letter to His Honour Magistrate Michael Barnes. Over 13,000 online signatures and over 5,000 hand written signatures. Will the voices of over 18,000 people be heard? We - the public - have been asked over and over again to come forward with any information about William to help them solve this case. "Come forward, with any information, no matter how trivial" - that's what they told us. And yet they omitted important details from the day he disappeared. That was not his grandmother's house. He didn't live in Kendall. How can details like that be written off as 'irrelevant' before an investigation has even gotten off the ground? The lead investigator put forward 'evidence' to support FACS' injunction to suppress that William was in State Care. This evidence was not only rejected by the judge, (and subsequent appeals court judges) but was found to be 'baffling' by the judge...yes baffling because it made no sense, it really didn't! We're not asking to be part of an investigation. We're not asking for anything that could hinder an investigation. The inquest can hold private hearings as necessary. ALL WE WANT IS AN INDEPENDENT SET OF EYES TO SCRUTINISE THIS INVESTIGATION AND THE CIRCUMSTANCES AROUND IT. That is all we want. Is that voyeuristic? Is it meddlesome? If something seems 'on the nose' then why shouldn't it be overseen by someone independent, and not under the influence of the 'interested parties'?
