Intangible Cornish heritage is as important as the tangible, such as supporting the preservation of physical heritage. Cornish culture is massively underfunded and needs to be supported. Many Cornish cultural activities are run by volunteers and are constantly under threat due to the lack of finance, yet the benefit to the community is enormous. This includes Cornish music, dance, traditional festivals, traditional events and customs, language, crafts, food and dialect.

We call upon Cornwall Council and other funders to recognise the importance of intangible Cornish culture and support it financially to ensure our precious heritage survives into and beyond the 21st century.
