As Kate Kennally drives on with expensive developers' get-togethers in Cannes, seemingly oblivious to the real problems of the real world faced by more and more residents in Cornwall, this will be the expensive legacy of her and her colleagues at Cornwall Council:

Our only major hospital, at Treliske, on constant Black Alert and beyond, with an A&E department totally unable to cope with the huge and increasing numbers. 

Traffic congestion everywhere - where none existed just 10-15 years ago - and journey times growing from 5-10 minutes to 45-60 minutes for many straight-forward trips, as well as huge increases in toxic pollution from exponential vehicle growth.

Schools all full and locals across many towns and villages unable to get their kids in, even when siblings are already there!

Surgeries also full, and dentists especially, unable to take new patients for months, if not years, as residents travel 10, 15, 20 miles or more to get their kids to a dentist.

Air quality failing completely in many towns across "rural" Cornwall, thus intoxicating our own kids and elderly, and in fact, everyone else moving into these areas (just look up AQMA on the council's own website - at least they're aware of their own dismal failures, if nonetheless completely unable to rectify them!).

Farmers with lifelong tenancies driven from their homes of generations or pushed to despair, depression and/or suicide, by unscrupulous landlords (Lord Falmouth, Prince Charles, Cornwall Council, etc...).

One Truro councillor's reaction:

"Look at this Tolgarrick Farm, Arch Hill, Truro, abomination of a development! Houses packed closely together made of ticky-tacky wood frames, plastic and tin foil insulation! Who on earth would buy one of these, even if they could afford to?!"

The photo shows Tolgarrick Farm at the top of Arch Hill, at Truro's south gate; a dairy farm for many generations, Cornwall Council's own planners turned it down in 2012 for several serious failures (including flooding, traffic and air quality), yet abandoned by Phil Mason's department at the Persimmon appeal in 2016.

Gross negligence??

There is now more dangerous traffic going down Falmouth Road than previously necessitated the building of Morlaix Avenue!

As for traffic trying to get along that same Avenue, past Treyew Road (Truro Football Club & Cornwall Council), and up Highertown (now one of the UK's worst air quality zone) and onwards to Treliske, this has turned from a short 5 minute journey into a major city-like gruelling 30-45 minute nightmare.

How can so few out of town experts and consultants do so much damage to our small towns' infrastructure, so quickly, whilst getting paid such vast sums for the privilege??
