Incredible to think Treliske is in complete meltdown, our kids are being routinely poisoned by excessive car-generated nitrogen dioxide levels in almost every Cornish town, and even in some villages (Grampound), yet the council feels it necessary to spend vast sums on out of town experts (John Betty) and others to deliver "vision", "growth" and "development" to a Cornwall creaking under the weight of new builds; all the while, schools, surgeries, the police and fire service, paramedics, roads and Treliske all falling apart as numbers are slashed, funding is slashed and there is over capacity everywhere. Where are the other half a million Cornish residents to say "Enough is Enough"?!! One supporter writes: "I am in absolute despair at reading these emails and replies from CCC, they have no interest what so ever in creating a green and pleasant land but only there own out of touch self serving needs!!! We keep having these short term overpaid councillors with no idea of Cornwalls needs, who then leave with nice golden handshakes while the councils debt gets ever larger. So it's not rocket science to see that the Cornish taxpayer is being royally shafted and now you want an increase for such incompetence, methinks it's time Cornwalls taxpayers withheld their money until you lot start listening and put ours and Cornwalls needs above yours and the concreting developers needs first." Whilst another is more damning: "IN HIS SPARE TIME THIS FORMER SOLIDARITY STALWART CLAIMS TO BE A COMEDIAN. Unfortunately he crossed to the dark side and initiated the ongoing Langarth Farm fiasco becoming a glove puppet and patsy for Inox. North of the A390 Truro / Threemilestone - March 2012 Foreword: In the absence of an up to date Development Plan for Truro and in advance of the emerging Truro and Kenwyn Neighbourhood Plan initiated in October 2011, the Local Planning Authority has prepared this Brief in order to ensure that should the area be developed, it will be properly planned taking into account community aspirations and concerns relating to the combined effects of development on Land North of the A390. It is intended to compliment the emerging Neighbourhood Plan which, when complete should take into account any decisions that might be made on planning applications within the area covered by the Brief. Preparation of this important document follows my decision on 17th November 2010 that a Development Brief should be prepared to cover an extensive area of land at Threemilestone already the subject of consultations by prospective developers for major mixed use schemes. These include plans for over 2,500 new houses and a range of other uses, including two sizeable new food stores and a 10,000 seat stadium. The first stage in the production of the Brief was a well attended Community Planning Event on Saturday March 26th 2011 at New County Hall which enabled the local community of Threemilestone to engage with prospective developers and those interested in land north of the A390 and suggest how the Development Brief might take on board their concerns and ideas. This was followed by publication of a consultation draft version of the Brief in July 2011. Among other things this consultation identified strong public agreement that the brief will help ensure that any development on the site is cohesive and well planned and a majority (73%) of over 120 respondents expressed a belief that proposed developments of the Land North of the A390 would be good for Truro. This final version of the document refines the requirements and objectives for achieving a well planned cohesive development and responds to detailed comments and suggested revisions to the draft. Councillor Mark Kaczmarek Cabinet Member for Housing and Planning. To date nothing but broken promises and hot air have materialised Councillor Kaczmarek is yesterdays man apearing to have gone to ground. Despite his self proclaimed status as a comedian we do not find him at all funny."
