Is this (see photo) how central government bribe and coerce near-bankrupt councils into accepting more unsuitable and unsustainable development? Today, this was sent to me from a recent signatory of the petition: "The front page of the St Austell Voice, in February, stated that residents in Holmbush, alongside the A390 may have to move out of their homes, do to the dangerous levels of air pollution. In the last few weeks, a planning application has been submitted, to build another 180+ dwellings in this immediate area" www.staustellvoice.co.uk/news/73/article/6177/ 18/05/2017 - Council report : "Air Quality Management Areas (AQMAs) have been declared for the Camborne, Pool, and Redruth (CPR) area in 2005, Bodmin in 2008, Tideford in 2011, Gunnislake and St Austell in March 2014, Truro in July 2015, and Camelford in January 2017." Other news in St. AUSTELL: www.staustellvoice.co.uk/news/73/article/6715/ www.cornwalllive.com/news/cornwall-news/roche-near-st-austell-could-756000 www.staustellvoice.co.uk/news/73/article/5991 Separately, a reminder of last week’s absurd and expensive “Summit”, also in St. Austell https://cornwalldevelopersparadise.wordpress.com/2017/11/23/delusional-disorder-cornwalls-housing-growth-summit/ And a very pertinent comment by one supporter: "The money will go on the money tree roundabout gradually being taken by this consultant and that consultant which is what the gravy train is all about!!! How much of taxpayers money can we syphon off before anyone notices. Meanwhile those incompetents in the planning dept carry on making a complete hash of Cornwall, are they in the employ of big developers I wonder because it certainly isn't the Cornish tax payer."
