"Emails between (planning officer) Mr Crompton-Brown and Clean Earth showed the firm assumed it could press ahead with work even before a final planning meeting had been held." As do every national developer, given they both pay to have the correct officer and then boast of successes on their websites, long before the first digger has moved onto another Cornish farm... And worst of all, and previously highlighted here: "Campaigners claim the case demonstrates the danger of..... allowing developers to pay a council to have the planning officer of their choice." And Phil Mason's response? "Planning chief Mr Mason added that he has ‘full confidence’ in Mr Crompton-Brown, who declined to comment."
