In July 2016, just over a year ago, one weary councillor wrote this email, with all the foresight that our chief of planning seems to lack: "Dear All, This is the email I have sent to every parish council in Cornwall. I do hope you will be able to write just a few words in response to the Cornwall Local Plan BEFORE THE 12TH AUGUST, 2016. At the time of writing there appears to be NO provision for additional services whether it be health, schools or transportation to cope with the 52,500 houses. In my opinion, the policies are weak and unless we manage to include a SUSTAINABILITY POLICY, the Cornwall Local Plan is nothing more than a Developers' Charter - Cornwall will never be the same again."
