Dear Fellow petitioners,

Thank you so much for extending support to this petition.

Slowly and steadily hospitals and covid care centrres are being built across the nation. Some states have even established daily updated dashboards with bifurcated levels of hospitals as per serious, moderate and mild cases. Kudos to state and local administration, civil society, non-governmental organizations, armed forces, medical practitioners and ordinary citizens who have stepped in with their monumental efforts. It shows we care and we care deeply for the sick, for the aged, for the marginalized.

These are some of the news bulletins that one came across on some of the giant efforts that are being taken.

One may have definitely missed out on reporting some of the micro-initiatives being taken up by everyday citizens. If there are, please let us know by filling up details in this form.

While one is extremely relieved that these facilities are being set up, one is also concerned that such initiatives are being taken largely at the urban level. There needs to be some interventions taken at the rural level. These would include awareness, testing, vaccination rollouts, medicine supplies and specialized treatment centres. Certain organizations working in rural areas are definitely taking up timely actions at their level but it is the state and central machinery which must be deployed at war level to contain the contagion in rural areas.

I therefore end this update with "RURAL INDIA ALSO NEEDS HELP"
