Tyrell's family has been waiting 434 days for the Contra Costa County Sheriff-Coroner David Livingston to complete Tyrell's coroner's inquest. He has been single-handedly stalling the investigation ahead of the county elections.

In case you haven't been following, the officer who shot Tyrell, former Deputy Andrew Hall, was charged, convicted, and sentenced on 3/4/22 to 6 years for killing Laudemer Arboleda while on duty in 2018. On the day Laudemer's family finally witnessed some accountability and relief, Sheriff Livingston released a memo saying it was a "sad day" that Hall had to finally go to prison. Laudemer's sister put it best: it was a sad day when Hall shot her brother and a sad day when he shot Tyrell. The Sheriff continued to keep Hall employed until the day of the sentencing - meaning the tax payers, including some of the victims' relatives, were essentially footing the bill for Hall's extended holiday. In his memo, the Sheriff assured all of his employee’s that they are above the law  – and this endangers all of us. Help us hold those in power to account and put an end to police violence.
