There is a lot of talk about our petition in the community, some good, some bad. I want to make a few points for clarity on my stance for the future of the game that didn’t make it into the initial description.  Both for all of you wonderful petition supporters, and for those out there who are criticizing.

1.  NO, we are not asking for microtransaction/loot boxes/gambling to return.  This petition has absolutely nothing to do with reinstating pay-to-win greedy garbage.

2.  We would like to request that EA expand modding tools so the game can live on for a very long time.

3.  We don’t need years worth of content, we just want them to finish what they started.  There are heroes, maps, reinforcements, bug fixes, balancing issues, etc that were planned but never made it to the game. The developers themselves have said as much, and WANT to work on it. Someone higher up has said, “no.”  We’d like to give them the opportunity to finish the game, as we all know the “our vision is complete” statement is not accurate.

4. To those of you who thought we should ask for these things for free - no.  We have had plenty of free updates, and I thought this would be the best way to get EA’s attention. EA knows we would all like free entertainment. That’s not news to them. 

5.  To those who want to campaign for a Battlefront 3 instead - I think this petition only helps that cause, not hurts it.  In my opinion, if EA sees what we have done here, they might open up conversations about a third installment in the future. Which, of course, would be an amazing victory.

6.  Please know that it is not likely that EA will change their minds.  But we want to do our best to try, and the more signatures, the more likely EA is to take note.

7.  No, the donation money does not go to pay my mortgage. It goes to change.org for advertising. Please read the fine print before spending your money on this cause.
