It has been nearly 3 years since my communication with both of you regarding Lyme Disease and blood/plasma collection procedures.
Per Ms. Harley, the simple vetting question “have you ever been bitten by a tick or been diagnosed with Lyme Disease” is NOT being asked.
I have recent visited 2 blood collection locations and neither experience included any mention of Lyme Disease at all. In fact, when I inquired about donation eligibility having my history of Lyme Disease, one location said, “Hmmm, that’s a good question. I don’t know about that.” The other experience turned into an information session, between the lab tech and myself. She stopped to take the time and make a call for inquiry. She replied, “We don’t have any information on that, are you feeling sick today? Are you taking any antibiotics?”
THIS MUST STOP!

Borrelia Burgdorferi are Syphilis are both blood pathogens with spiral flagella. Both of these pathogens can cross the blood brain barrier and causing Central Nervous System dysfunction, disability & death.
Why is syphilis screened with blood collection, but Borrelia Burgdorferi is not? Please explain how this is ok?

Both of you need to address this ASAP. This is a National Health Threat! This can NOT continue.
The FDA ignoring this is completely reckless, irresponsible, and causing Injury. As you can see, here we are almost 3 years later without any ACTION! This the highest level of Negligence on the part of the FDA and the other Government agencies.
Please respond to me with your PLAN OF ACTION, and the timeframe which to expect changes take place for this URGENT issue.
