Town of Topsail Beach officials have announced that the applicants have withdrawn their application for rezoning The Point and that the property is now available for purchase.

The Conserve The Point – Topsail organization is launching a public private partnership to purchase the entire 150-acre property and place it into permanent conservation, so that all future generations of people and wildlife will continue to enjoy and experience The Point as it is today. To that end, Conserve The Point - Topsail is working collaboratively with Town officials, conservation groups and other organizations. This is an exciting opportunity to conserve one of the last undeveloped tracts of land on a North Carolina coastal barrier island and protect the wildlife habitat for the endangered birds and species who call this island their home.

Our work is not over! Your support and donations remain important in achieving our goal of permanent conservation of this island treasure.
