Our bill passed the Public Health Committee! The next step is to make sure it is brought to the floor for a vote by the full CT House of Representatives and has enough support to be passed.

You can watch some of the testimony that was given to the Public Health Committee during the public hearing - including mine as well as that of Ashly Weitz, a survivor of a non-consensual pelvic exam - at the video linked to this update.

Unfortunately a number of CT medical institutions and individual physicians are fighting the bill still, despite physicians from other states actively expressing their support for it and debunking their arguments against it. That means it is important as ever to keep raising awareness and to continue reaching out to CT legislators to urge them to pass the bill!
