As your constituents, we urge you to join New York Congresswomen Clarke and Velazquez and, Congressmen Nadler, Espaillat and Serrano and the over 50 other Congressional Representatives (as of Tuesday, January 17) in boycotting the inauguration of President Elect Trump.

• Congresswoman Clarke: “We stand shoulder-to- shoulder against anyone (@realDonaldTrump) who seeks to deny our humanity. #boycotttrump” and “I will NOT attend the inauguration of @realDonaldTrump. When you insult @repjohnlewis, you insult America.”
• Congressman Espaillat: "Many have given their lives and dedicated their lives to working to fulfill Dr. King's dream and make it a reality, and it is up to us to preserve his legacy and the legacy of President Barack Obama."
• Congressman Serrano: “I will not attend the #inauguration2017 next week- cannot celebrate the inauguration of a man who has no regard for my constituents.”
• Congresswoman Velazquez “@repjohnlewis is a national hero and I stand with him! I also am not attending inauguration given the tone of @realDonaldTrump's campaign"
• Congressmen Nadler: “I cannot and will not go to Donald Trump's inauguration...And I refuse to applaud for a man with a history of offensive and abusive behavior to women and minorities. I refuse to treat January 20, 2017, as business as usual.”
