It was recently reported that Tesla plans to launch Supercharger subscriptions, allowing non-Tesla owners to "pay as you go" or pay a monthly fee to use their charging network. It's unclear if drivers will have to purchase a CCS adapter or whether it will be included at the Supercharger stations (Electrek). While this may be a step forward in accessibility, more work must be done. With less than 25% of EVs using the CCS or J1772 plug for charging, what is the point of adding inadequate infrastructure to existing Superchargers?
