This past week, SAVE submitted five written testimonies to the Department of Education, as part of the Department's review of the new Title IX campus due process regulation.

In addition to our Comment highlighting this Change.org petition (and attaching the list of over 5,000 petition signers), SAVE submitted these four Comments:

1. Statement in Support of Due Process in Campus Disciplinary Proceedings – Signed by 309 leading professors, attorneys, and others
2. Ten Considerations in the Campus Fairness Debate — Signed by 110 persons
3. Key Documents Detailing the Elements of Campus Due Process
4. Appellate and Trial Court Courts Define the Elements of Due Process 

All of these Comments address the need for impartial and honest investigations. For example, the Statement in Support of Due Process includes this Whereas:

• "Whereas investigations that are balanced, impartial, and fair are an essential element of due process;"

So let's keep spreading the message that objective investigations are the backbone to reliable and fair adjudications, both on campus and in the criminal legal system.
