This morning, the Dept. of Education began its Public Hearing on the Title IX regulation that took effect last August. The regulation mandates investigations that are impartial and fair.

Which means, no more "Start by Believing" or "victim-centered" monkey business!

Of course, the Due Process Deniers are out in full force, trying to take us back to the days of the campus Kangaroo Courts.

So we need to submit lots and lots of Written Comments in support of the need for impartial investigations. Here's a link to the actual regulation, if you want to read it.)

I would recommend your Comment address these three points:

  1. State your name and the focus of your comment: Section 106.45(b)(1) of the Title IX Regulation
  2. Explain why impartial and fair investigations are essential for reliable campus proceedings. Include any personal experiences if you want to.
  3. Urge the Dept. of Education to retain and strengthen its current regulation pertaining to impartial investigations.

To submit your comment:

  • In the Subject Line, type, "Written Comment: Title IX Public Hearing -- Importance of Impartial Investigations”
  • Include your name and address (optional)
  • Email your comment to T9PublicHearing@ed.gov.

Deadline is 5:00 p.m. Eastern time on Friday, June 11. WE WILL DO THIS!

Sincerely,

Edward Bartlett
