Remember Jean Carroll? She's the woman who accused President Donald Trump of ravishing her in a Bergdorf Goodman store in New York City. That was on June 21. You may remember that we did an Update on her story on July 2.

Within days, her story started to fall apart. Carroll admitted she “started laughing” in the middle of the assault. She insisted there was nothing “sexual” about the incident. And Carroll claimed most persons think of rape as “sexy.”

But that didn't stop victim-advocacy groups like End Rape on Campus from rallying to her cause, linking to stories saying her implausible claims were a reflection of the enormous trauma she had experienced -- see Twitter post, attached. (EROC still has this embarrassing post on its Twitter page.)

Fearing public ridicule, Democrats refused to climb on the Jean Carroll bandwagon. And POOOFF, the story vanished!

But the conclusion is clear: To the victim advocacy zealots, there's no such thing as a false accusation, only traumatized survivors.
