As bad as "victim-centered" investigations have become in the criminal justice system, they are even worse on college campuses. Almost daily, we hear of lawsuits saying the school investigator refused to talk to witnesses who supported the accused student's account, or hid exculpatory evidence from the Title IX panel.

In response, the Department of Education has proposed new Title IX regulations that would restore fair and impartial investigations.

But Rep. Jackie Speier, who describes herself as "a fearless fighter for women's equality," seems to believe that equality doesn't apply to men.

So she's just asked the House of Representatives Appropriations Committee to prohibit the use of funds to finalize and implement the long-awaited regulations! -- see image.
