Last week we highlighted English prosecutor Alison Saunders' disastrous "victim-centered" policy and the subsequent wave of false allegations. As a result, police have now implemented a policy of reviewing the text messages and emails from rape complainants, in order to confirm or disprove their accusations.

Feminists, of course, are in an uproar.

On Friday, Ella Whelan published a commentary pinning the blame on biased investigations: "the problems we are facing have been created by victim-centered justice, and a focus on driving up rape convictions which has come at the cost of proper investigation."

Whelan concludes:

"We need a justice system that recognizes that rape is disproportionately conducted by men against women, but which also ensures that the prosecution of men is just and fair. By resisting measures to make the justice system more transparent and balanced, feminists and victim-support groups are doing women no favors. Worse, they are damaging the idea of innocent until proven guilty, which is something all of us depend on."

Well said.
