
"Believe the Victim" investigations are not only a problem in the United States -- they also have been implicated in a major scandal in England.
Alison Saunders was the lead prosecutor of the national Crown Prosecution Services. She instructed detectives to follow the "believe the victim" approach. As a result, rape investigations were biased, exculpatory evidence was not shared with defense attorneys, and cases had to be dismissed - see attached article.
Last April, Saunders was forced to resign, called “the worst" prosecutor "in living history." Do we want history to repeat itself in the United States?
