A Clemson student will receive a $100,000 settlement from Clemson University following a three-year fight over the handling of a sexual misconduct case. 

On March 27, District Judge Donald C. Coggins Jr. upheld a settlement agreement between the university and the unnamed student. The "wrongful actions" by the university included a failure to conduct a thorough and impartial investigation, improperly advocating on behalf of the female accuser, and failure to provide the male student with a presumption of innocence.
