Did you hear about the recent exoneration of Tim Fleischer, who spent 7 years behind bars due to a detective who accepted eyewitness testimony and refused to investigate farther?

The news account revealed, "Boone's attorneys argued that the arresting detective failed to review prior interviews and information that cast doubt on the reliability of the identification procedure, and that the detective ignored requests to interview witnesses who could have provided information on Boone's whereabouts at the time of the robberies."

The detective obviously believed he "got his man," so no need to do a thorough investigation! That's what victim-centered investigations do.
