Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell just tweeted that tomorrow, the Senate will vote on repealing the Affordable Care Act. As of this afternoon, they are still hammering out the exact details of what will be voted on. But every plan they’ve shown us so far has massive cuts. What matters most is that health care for millions hangs in the balance. Estimates show that the number of people without insurance will increase by tens of millions. Protections for people with pre-existing conditions could be stripped away. Premiums and deductibles will skyrocket. We will return to the days where people will face caps on their care. There is no question----this will be devastating, no matter how you receive your care. Whether it is through the marketplace, Medicaid, or an employer-sponsored plan. This bill WILL have an impact on your loved ones, your families, your neighbors, your co-workers, and your community. Right now, it’s important that you call your Senator and let them know where you stand on this issue. You can call them at 1-866-426-2631. None of us can afford to wait.
