As a concerned school community, we are advocating for our children's safety at Templeton Academy, a K-12 school on the Northshore, Western Newfoundland.  With the recent sexual assault allegations between students in the Western NL English School Division, parents have come forward with their own concerns related to their personal experiences regarding bus safety with their children that is related to the large age gap amongst children on the buses, as well as lack of monitoring on buses to-and-from school. We are requesting reasonable responses from the School Board, which may include:

● CCTV Cameras on the buses as per OIPC's guidlines:

●Paid Monitors on buses

●Volunteer Monitors on buses as per Education and Early Childhood Development School bus monitor Program:

●Segregated buses for Primary /Elementary and Junior High/ High School
