Dear ALL, It is not impossible to make non supportive comments like that made by Lola Lopez on 4 Nov, by signing the petition and commenting. On consultation with members of the Committee, we have decided to delete Lola Lopez's comments. We do not even know whether the name is genuine. This is my public esponse to Lola (also posted in the comment section): @ Lola Lopez: I am surprised that you hold a skewed view against OTDs - there is no clear evidence that they 'cause more incidents' It is more likely that more incidents are inflicted on OTDs because of xenophobia, a culture of disproportionate expectations, bigotry and discrimination - and of course, OTDs are softer and easier targets. There are many hush incidents involving Australian trained doctors. Good and bad doctors exist everywhere - including Oz. I am equally surprised by your signing the petition on 4 Nov and commented that it is a waste of money. As the petition administrator, I shall not delete your post and offer you your freedom to express your opinion. Are you real or just messing us around? Leong Further Note: Lawyers, whether in civil proceedings or Royal Commissions always have ‘expensive picnics.’ The difference is that those assisting in RCs have quality about their work and any attempts to over-service or digress would be scrutinised and made public. That I do not mind paying for from the taxes I disburse to the Government of the day. Don is consolidating the plans of the Committee to expand this Petition. It is not a platform for any of us to be poster boys or girls or to show our theophilic egos. It is for the people. Sincerely, Leong Ng
